General Rules

The following general rules and conditions apply to all certificates and awards issued by the REF-Union and should be read in conjunction with the conditions which govern the award of individual certificates.
* All REF-Union certificates and awards will be issued to transmitting and/or SWL stations.
* In agreement with the I.A.R.U. Region 1 rules, each claim must be accompanied by a QSO list and by a statement from the applicant's national DX-AWARD-MANAGER that correctly filled in QSL's are really in possession of the applicant. If it's not possible the applicant must submit all the QSL's concerned
* In the case of any dispute concerning a claim the decision of the council of the REF-Union shall be final.

REQUIREMENTS :

1- DDFM : " Diplôme des Départements Français de la Métropole "

May be claimed for having contacted (heard) and received QSL cards from French amateur stations. Contacts must be done either on HF, VHF, or mobile operation and either CW, Phone, Mixed or special requirements.
On HF : 40 different departments are required.
On VHF : 20 different departments are required.
Endorsements possible in increments of 10 departments. A special sticker " Excellence " will be delivered for all 96 departments contacted.

2- DPF : " Diplôme des Provinces Françaises "

May be claimed for having contacted (heard) and received QSL cards from French amateur stations.
Modes : CW or phone or mixed.
On HF : All 22 provinces are required.
On VHF : Only 16 provinces are required.

3- 5BDDFM : " Diplôme des Départements Français de la Métropole sur 5 Bandes "

Same general conditions as for the DDFM, but using only 5 HF bands until 30 Mhz or 5 VHF bands from 30 Mhz.
On HF, a total of 300 QSL cards with at least 10 different departments per band are required.
On VHF, a total of 250 QSL cards with at least 5 different departments per band are required
Endorsements possible in increments of 10 departments. A special sticker " Excellence " will be delivered for all 96 departments contacted.

4- 5BDPF : " Diplôme des Provinces Françaises sur 5 bandes "

Same general conditions as for DPF, but using only 5 HF bands until 30 Mhz or 5 VHF bands from 30 Mhz.
On HF and VHF, a total of 110 QSL cards (22 per band) are required.
